Fortnite Jump Bed Slide Mechanic
Fortnite has a new slide mechanic that allows players to cover ground quickly. This is a great feature for players that need to move fast across the map or escape an impassable situation.
However, this ability can be a little tricky to master. Here are a few things you should know about Fortnite’s sliding mechanic.
Runaway Boulder Quest
The Runaway Boulder is a unique object added to the Fortnite Battle Royale map at the beginning of Season 3 that’s capable of dislodging and rolling towards unsuspecting players. Fortunately, Epic Games have included a quest to dislodge these oversized rocks by using the game’s new slide kick feature.
The best part about this new mechanic is that it inflicts minimal damage and creates space between players, allowing for easier looting of higher-priority items. In fact, it’s a great way to earn some of the game’s most valuable cosmetic items, such as the Doctor Jones Emoticon.
While the slide kick feature is certainly a cool-looking addition to the game, it’s not exactly easy to use. To perform the maneuver, you’ll need to locate a runaway boulder and then slide into it. As you’ll likely want to avoid any damage, it’s recommended that you hit the boulder with your Pickaxe a few times before initiating the slide kick.
Alternatively, you could also find a large boulder by entering Blob Form and then sliding into it, but that’s not exactly as cool as the slide kick. The best way to complete this quest is to head to the Rave Cave in the eastern part of the island and land on top of a small mountain to dislodge it with your Baller.
As you’ll probably have heard, the Boost into the Runaway Boulder and Dislodge it with a Baller quest is one of several to be introduced in the new Chapter 3 Season 3. It’s a fairly easy task, but it’s best to be aware of all the possible locations for this quest so that you can get started on your adventure in the Battle Royale map as soon as possible.
Sliding Kick Quest
Fortnite Battle Royale is an ever-evolving game that constantly introduces new content and challenges to keep players engaged. Epic Games introduces both narrative-focused Paradise quests and weekly challenges to keep gamers interested in the game. This week one of the challenges asks players to dislodge a runaway boulder with a slide kick.
The slide kick is the latest mechanic that has revolutionised movement in Fortnite, alongside the sprint and mantle abilities. It’s simple to use and is incredibly easy to master – all you need to do is regularly slide in the direction of an object and make contact with it at the end of the slide.
It’s a great way to cover distances and scale buildings quickly in the new season, but it’s not without its hiccups. In particular, the ability can cause the player to crash into objects, resulting in damage and sending them flying backwards.
However, you can get around this by damaging the boulder to low health using your pickaxe before performing the kick. Once it has low health, you can then perform the kick to dislodge it from its pedestal.
Another option is to simply dislodge the boulder by attacking it directly with your Fortnite Jump Bed Slide weapon or kick. This will damage it, but the boulder may take several swings before it’s destroyed.
Alternatively, you can also dislodge the boulder by crashing into it with your character. This will deal damage and send it rolling away from its location, which will complete the quest.
The slide kick is a fun little weapon that should prove to be quite effective in high-level play. It’s likely to become an even more popular weapon as more players discover it and learn how to use it properly.
Runaway Animal Quest
The Runaway Animal Quest is one of the most challenging of all the Fortnite Week 4 quests. As the name suggests, you need to track down and eliminate a critter of the furry variety. A boar or wolf is the obvious choice, but there are also several frogs to be found in the jungle. While it’s unlikely you’ll get lucky, the best way to accomplish this is by being nimble and quick.
This quest isn’t easy to complete, but if you’re willing to put in the effort, you’ll be rewarded with a little bit of XP and some fun. As with most of the week’s challenges, completing the one that best fits your play style will pay off in the long run. This is especially true if you’re looking to progress through the game’s latest tier. Aside from the aforementioned frogs and wolves, there are numerous other obstacles to overcome to unlock the final chapter of the story. From figuring out how to use the in-game pet system, to deciphering the mysteries of the mysterious tawny troll, you’ll need to be a bit more creative than usual to earn a shiny new Battle Pass.
Sliding Damage Quest
During the new Season 1 of Fortnite, players will be able to use the Sliding mechanic in order to get a burst of high mobility or to dodge bullets. However, not all players are accustomed to this mechanic and may be hesitant to try it out. Thankfully, Epic Games have introduced a reward that can coax loopers to utilize this new feature in the game.
In this quest, players are required to deal a total of 350 damage whilst mantling over an Fortnite Jump Bed Slide elevated surface. This can be accomplished quite easily as there are plenty of places to do so such as Reality Tree, Cloudy Condos and Flutter Barn, which offer a great amount of verticality.
Once you are on top of the surface, you will need to fire off a shotgun or an SMG to deal some serious damage to your opponents. This will take a bit of practice, but it will be well worth it in the end as you will be rewarded with some pretty impressive XP.
Another aspect of this quest is that you must also have 100 health and 100 shields in order to complete it. This can be a challenge, but it can be done if you are willing to risk your life.
Finally, in order to complete this quest you will need to eliminate three different types of wildlife, which can be found throughout the map. This includes Wolves, Boars, Frogs, Chickens, Crows and Sharks.
In order to successfully complete this quest you will need to eliminate a minimum of 3 animals, so it is best to single out the highest health ones such as Wolves and Boars. This way you will be able to get the quest completed in a much quicker time frame.
Sliding Combat Quest
Fortnite is introducing a brand new traversal mechanic in Chapter 3, and it’s called sliding. Slides are a great way to quicken your pace and make aggressive pushes in Fortnite. It’s also a fun way to navigate the new map and can be used on a variety of surfaces from slopes to mountains.
To complete this quest, players must deal a total of 20 damage to opponents while sliding. This can be done by strafing towards opponents and shooting them, or by using close-range weapons such as a pistol to hit enemies.
The best way to deal damage while sliding is to use a weapon with high damage output such as a shotgun or an SMG. This will allow you to rack up a significant amount of damage while sliding and completing this quest quickly.
Another way to deal a large amount of damage while sliding is to use a weapon that deals high armor reduction, such as the Pickaxe. This will cause the opponent to drop a large amount of health and will give you a great opportunity to deal a lot of damage before the slide kicks are completed.
This week’s quests have some pretty basic requirements and will be a breeze to accomplish with a little bit of practice. They’re not as detailed as some of the previous Quests, but they’re still a good challenge to complete. The first one is a fairly straightforward task, which involves eliminating two opponents at the Reality Tree or Hearld’s Sanctum.
