Forklift Tricolor Rear Light
A forklift may come equipped with different types of lights and accessories. These optional forklift safety items can be useful in a variety of warehouse operations.
Strobe lights flash intermittently to alert pedestrians and fellow forklift operators to the vehicle’s presence. They are more effective when they stand out against the background and environment.
Inset Headlights
Located at the front of the forklift, headlights emit bright white LED light to help other vehicles and pedestrians see your forklift. They’re useful in poorly lit areas or during rainy weather. Some models have a narrower design to better protect the lights from damage.
The Blue Spot Light, meanwhile, is mounted on the Forklift Tricolor Rear Light forklift’s overhead guard and aimed down at the ground behind or in front of your vehicle. This indicator helps pedestrians and fellow lift truck operators know you’re nearby in busy warehouse settings. These spots come in different colors depending on the environment and some are key-activated or travel direction-activated for added safety.
Other options include red side pedestrian safety lights and strobe lights that flash intermittently to alert others of your forklift’s presence. These lights can be used in combination with the front white and rear work lights.
Some forklift owners also choose to install a pair of tail/brake lights on their trucks. When activated, these lights show that the forklift is in use and may indicate when the operator changes lanes or slows down. These lights are a great supplement to audible warnings, especially in noisy environments where the sounds could get lost or distract workers. They can also illuminate the rear of your forklift when backing into semi trailers or loading docks.
Rear Work Lights
Mounted on the rear overhead guard or mast of a forklift, these lights are aimed at the ground in front of or behind the truck. They help alert pedestrians and other forklifts of the operator’s presence, especially in aisles with limited visibility or cluttered areas. They are available in a wide variety of colors, and some models include turn signal and parking/clearance lights.
Our XDW Series work lights are bright with an ultra-wide 120 degree beam that can be switched between three color modes: cool white, warm white and orange. They use a special bug-reducing reflector and feature new LED technology for maximum brightness and energy efficiency with a push-button dimmer. They also include everything you need to install and connect the light to your forklift, including a 3m extension cable. Choose from a selection of mounting options to meet your application needs. This heavy-duty work light is also waterproof and 20G shock-resistant for use in harsh environments.
Tail/Brake Lights
There are a variety of safety lights available for forklifts. They are useful in a wide variety of environments and work conditions. Some safety lights are used to warn other workers, while others are designed to communicate with drivers of a lift truck’s status and movements. Safety lights are not required by OSHA but may be a useful addition to an operation, especially in busy areas.
For example, a blue pedestrian spotlight is an excellent choice in warehouses with many blind corners and intersections. This type of light illuminates the area directly in front of the forklift, indicating to pedestrians that there is a moving vehicle in the vicinity. It is a simple, effective way to prevent forklift-pedestrian collisions.
Similarly, a red zone safety light projects an illuminated “no-go” area around the forklift, which helps pedestrians to understand how much space they need to keep between themselves and the forklift. 5 in 1 spotlight This is another simple, cost-effective way to help reduce pedestrian accidents in busy forklift operations.
These LED arc pattern warning lights wire directly to the forklift’s power and turn on when the forklift is turned on. They are easy to install, operate and maintain. The system includes 18 field-selectable flash patterns and 2 timing phases for maximum flexibility, and a built-in ambient light sensor adjusts the brightness automatically for optimal performance.
